Uses
- Provides heat therapy to temporarily relieve minor muscle and joint aches and pain associated with overexertion, strains, sprains, arthritis, stiffness, and muscle spasm
- Temporarily relieves minor menstrual pain
- Temporarily increases local blood circulation
Warnings
Do not cut, tear, puncture or try to alter the size or shape of the heat patch by cutting or tearing. The heating ingredients have the potential to cause skin irritation or burns. If the heating materials come in direct contact with skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.Do not microwave the patch.
Do not reheat the patch after use.
Do not use
- If the heating patch is damaged or torn
- On skin that is broken, irritated, damaged, frostbitten, or on areas of the body where heat cannot be felt
- On areas of bruising or swelling that have occurred right after an injury – heat may make swelling or bruising worse
- On infants
- On persons who may be unable to remove the product by themselves, such as very young children, the elderly and the physically handicapped unless used under careful supervision
- With medicated cream, gels, lotions, and ointments
- With other forms of heat, such as electric heating pads and electric blankets
- While sleeping or if you are bedridden
- Under tight-fitting garments, belts or bandages
Ask a doctor before use if you have
- Diabetes
- Poor circulation
- Rheumatoid arthritis
Ask a doctor before use if you are pregnant.
When using this product
- Remove immediately if heat patch get uncomfortably hot or your skin feels irritated
- Temporary skin redness may occur, if skin redness persists, discontinue use of the patch until the redness is completely gone.
- Periodically check your skin if your skin is sensitive to heat
- Do not sit, lean or lie on the heat patch, or apply pressure during use
Stop use and ask a doctor if
- Condition worsens
- Symptoms persist for more than 7 days, or clear up and occur again within a few days
- You develop discomfort, swelling, rash, blisters, or other skin changes on the area where the product has been applied
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Each heat patch contains iron which can be harmful if swallowed. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Directions
- Do not use for more than 8 hours in any 24-hour period
- Make sure the skin over the painful area is clean, dry, and non-greasy
- Tear open the patch at the notch when ready to use
- Peel away lining from the adhesive side of the patch
- Apply patch over the painful area with the adhesive side towards the skin and attach firmly. Note: The edges of the pad do not have adhesive and will not adhere to skin.
- Do not re-use. After use, dispose of patch in the trash.
Other information
- After opening the pouch, it may take up to 30 minutes for the patch to reach its therapeutic temperature
- Store in a cool, dry place
